Jacqueline DeWarr’s practice with the firm focuses on general civil litigation defense.

Jacqueline earned her Juris Doctorate degree at the University of Kansas, School of Law. While in law school Ms. DeWarr was admitted as a practicing student attorney by the Kansas Supreme Court and represented her first clients through the Douglas County Legal Aid Society and an Elder Law Clinic through Kansas Legal Services. She also served as a court victims-advocate for the District Attorney’s office in Olathe, Kansas in domestic violence matters, obtaining TROs and assisting victims with their testimony in court.

Jacqueline is licensed to practice in the State of California, as well as the United States District Courts for the Central, Northern, Eastern, and Southern Districts of California. She is also licensed to practice before the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit and the United States Supreme Court.

Ms. DeWarr has had the opportunity to represent commercial airlines and trucking companies, restaurants and bars, public school districts, non-profit organizations, and other private clients through all stages of litigation and appeal on issues including: wrongful death, general negligence, premises liability, employment issues, free speech, and equal protection issues.

Jacqueline has successfully argued cases before the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, the United States District Courts, and the California State Superior Courts and Appellate Courts. Jacqueline’s appellate cases include:
